it’s basically the same as the Bible but key differences. Rastas accord key importance to Haile Selassie, the emperor of Ethiopia between 1930 and 1974; many regard him as the Second Coming of Jesus and Jah incarnate, while others see him as a human prophet who fully recognised Jah's presence in every individual. I think new world Africans (Jamaicans, African Americans etc) needed something to cling on to which they felt like they could relate to which made them proud and Ethiopia was a easy pick cause they were Christian, in sub-Saharan Africa, weren’t colonised, and were reasonably powerful compared to other African areas that weren’t as developed but obviously there’s a lot of problems here that they’re willing to ignore for their own peace of mind.

Somali's are more vocal. Ethiopians/Habesha's are very sneaky and insidious with their racism. Their racism is hidden behind their script and language.

I find it weird that they worship Haile Sellassie and Ethiopia for not being colonized... when Ethiopians themselves helped Northern Somalia get colonized in exchange for Somali Galbeed. Somali's were battling a triple front war, Ethiopia, Italy, and Britain to maintain their territories. We had an Arms embargo placed on us and lasted for a long time while Ethiopians were happily given weapons. Brits had to bomb the shit out of us by air for our colonial resistance to stop.
