Curious and dubious etymology for Ras caseyr also known as Ras Asir, the cape of the slaves

according to some sources the name Cape Guardafui or Ras Caseyr (ras asir in arabic) means cape the slaves.. I thought Ras caseyr was a somali name, but apparently Asir means captive in arabic, it may be because slave boats from the swahili coast passed near Ras caseyr on their way to arabia
