Demonyms in the Somali language

al-Mu'tamid المعتمد

عِشْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ
I do know that in Arabic, for example, if someone is from Zayla, they would be called 'al-Zayla'i.' Do we have similar conventions for different cities in Somali?
 
There are some such as Barbaraawi, Barawaani, Xamari, Hargeysaawi, more popular is 'reer' (or the original 'heer') followed by the name of the city i.e. reer Bosaso, reer Buuhoodle, reer Badhan, reer Baydhabo, reer Boorama etc. The same applies to regions i.e. Awdali.
