There are a very small number of examples where it does work, and in such instances the parent is at least middle class and lives with kids.

But forget about it if you can't give your children any remnant of their past existence in the West. It works if you take the child back home at a age where they haven’t realised the comforts of the west and can easily adapt. 8-10 is the best age and their mind will mature without being influenced by western ideals.

Even then, parents should be careful to not frame dhaqan celis as a punishment or some sort of prison otherwise the kid will hate the place from day 1 and in time hate everything you are trying to teach.

It rarely works I know people who went to dhaqan Celis for 8 years and didn't change a bit. Some Children might even begin harboring secret resentment for their parents
