Dhaqan celis: worth it or not?

I have a friend that was sent to Somalia when we were like 14 and she came back this year and she is doing way better and has memorized all of the Quran MashaAllah. But I also have another cousin who was sent back home as a teenager (I think 16) for troublemaking and hanging with bad crowds and he kept hanging with bad crowds over there and became an alcoholic. So there are success stories and horror stories. Overall, do you guys think it’s good or should it not be a thing anymore?

Depends. If you’re sent to a bad place and forced to do dugsi then it’s horrible. But if you’re sent to xamar for 3 months to stay with family then it’s lit.

I agree yes, i liked it for the 2 months I was there but any longer than that I would’ve lost it lol

I’ve only ever done virtual dhaqan celis through Google maps. I’m not stepping foot in there for a while.

it depends on the age and the location. the younger the better and also sending them Somalia is better than sending them to Kenya which is popular destination for dhaqan celis.

It's a bad idea to send your kids back to somalia for dhaqan celis.. You can rise your kids well if you are actively involved in their life as a parent.
