A cargo pilots job pays more and is less stressful than an airline pilot, but is marginally less safe than airlines due to the age of the planes and the freight itself sometimes. Those thin margins are a big difference on a plane

and yes pax planes carry cargo too but I’ve never heard of an improper loading incident on a pax aircraft. Freighters also tend to get rushed which can lead to human error

I read that one of the crew members who was not in the cockpit just walked off the plane completely unharmed

A miracle that anyone survived that.

Lithuania warned about a Russian plot of blowing up a DHL aircraft carrying incendiary devices. It didn’t blow up mid air though, and another angle of the crash shows that the aircraft was flying rather low on approach. Probably human error.

Most likely, people are fast blaming it on Russia
