diaspora business ideas that benefit the community, let's brainstorm.

1. Weekend Somali language Schools: This is something other communities already do. Somali language classes that only run on the weekend for couple hours max. These courses would run concurrently alongside regular K-12 public schools, but they would teach the students Somali(writing, reading and speaking).

What are some others?
Hopefully people with money run with these ideas and make something of them.

Sell Unsi diffuser: liquefy and diffuse our traditional uunis instead of burning . It's a safer and healthier choice.
That diffuser needs to be inserted in the socket , right? Also, can you share any link explaining how it works?

How about weekly meetings and interviews regarding the current state of the country? And finding ways to midigate the issues.

Imo the ONLY way somalia is going to be fixed without balkanization is if diaspora born Somalis get successful and create a political action committee based in a developed country where they fundraise or more preferably tie it to a company that owns assets and makes money, then profits would be used to lobby/bribe government officials in a targetted manner so as to get those loyal to the organization in office and get bad guys out. Essentially attempting to make Somalia a puppet of its own diaspora.

If I was to ever do this firstly I straight up not allow Somalis who grew up outside of diaspora to get any senior role in the organization. The majority are lost causes when it comes to qabyaalad theyre too far gone.

The main weakness is you'd definitely be approached by the host nations govt and pressured to do their bidding or perhaps even disappear if you go against their interests.

The political scene of Somalis is controlled by a bunch of old somalis who dont actually care about the country just enriching themselves and muh qabil

Connect the 10 year old generation kids with rich elite areas to build up social networks, so in later life they can rise up in business and politics of their host country, sports is the best way, second is other hobbies rich areas do. Keeping our communities tied with low level communities is hurting our children future potential.

2. Tap into first generation Somalis in the host nation who r mid thirties early 40s to mentor the 20 year Olds from their teething pains as they paved the way. Have 20 year Olds mentor the 10 years old generation to avoid their mistakes.

3. Yearly trips to Somalia to ensure they know their roots like Jews do and work with locals to lift them up

4. They also need to tutor each other where others are weak in knowledge not compete, Chinese and Indians do this well for themselves.

5. Control their marriages both male n females and ensure they marry into academics and brains or wealth not arab terrorist or ghetto tyrones. This opens up doors for all.

6. Integrate the fresh off the boats and manage them

That's my advice to building up a strong diaspora community
