4.5 will keep us as a divided nation cause every tribe will think of furthering their tribes agenda whereas district based system will create more harmony between different tribes cause they share the same district so they will have a common goal.

Just in the last year, there was fighting in districts between Isaaq vs Dhulo, MJ vs HG, Marehan vs HG, Dir vs HG, Marehan vs RW, Abgaal vs Bantus etc.

4.5 is more stable than district based elections because the local electorate is already fixed and have nothing to fight for, it's only on a national level it becomes corrupt and we need to find a way to fix that.

The reason for the fighting is cause we have a 4.5 system in place which divides us tell me what has a person from zeila have in common with a dir person in shebellooyinka? What has a person from xaafuun got in common with a Darood in Kismayo? I think a district based system would create more harmony with different tribes cause they will be more united on their district instead of tribes.

4.5 is the most corrupt system Somalia would ever see. The current old-time Clan chiefs, after they pass away (most of them are old and their health is declining), the up and coming new clan chiefs will be the ones to choose who represents their clan. Bribery and corruption will not even safe our cultural values. The district-based voting system is basically one-man-one-vote for every district to vote for the men and women that will represent them without clan-chiefs or anyone selecting who will represent the people.

No system will work as the whole notion of Somalia was a colonial project that has failed miserably and somalis after 56 years still cannot see the root of the problem which is "Somalia". Only way gaining peace is returning to precolonial borders, back to the real nations namely the clans.
