Do Tutsis in Rwanda have horn African origins?

According to Wikipedia Hutu and Tutsis have little genetic difference

But we know that many Tutsis can easily pass as Somalis or Ethiopians , Rwandan president Paul Kagame looks very much like a Horn African. Their overall looks reminds me of somalis and Ethiopiana, Kagame would be unnoticed in northern Ethiopia among Habeshas

Their 23 and me results have significant horn African ancestry.

What's your opinion? Are Tutsis descendants of horn Africans? Could they be descendants of ancient south Cushites?

I hear alot of Tutsis say they are cushites who migrated down to modern Rwanda and along the way they adopted a bantu language since they were too deep into bantustan at that point they just ditched their Cushitic language.

I keep bringing this up but: during the Rwandan civil war the hutu dumped Tutsi bodies into the river and said "they are a going back to Ethiopia" so there is deffo some idea that they are different from the bantus and more closer to horners among the bantu hutu at the time.

If man like Paul wants to make a fully Cushitic country then he can bring over some Geelgires from the Horn anytime and we'll put populate the hutu. Probably never gonna happend in a hundred different timlines but it's nice to dream a bit

Tutsi speak a bantu language they were the earliest southern cushites that left for the Great Lakes region right before the arrival of the mass bantu migration. They ended up mixing with the bantu and adopting their language. Their dna is 50-60% cushitic 20% bantu and 30% Nilotic. one of their most prominent haplogroup is Em293 which can be found in some Somali nomads. I have personally seen few on 23andme.

As a person who has come across quit a number of Tutsis both in the West and in Africa,
when it comes to looks a lot of them can pass as Horners but majority of them look like
their YDNA Nilotic-Bantu Mix. I know facts are hard to swallow, as some Tutsis on reddit
and youtube believe those with Bantu DNA are mixed and are not real Tutsis.

Not true they were part of the earlier southern pastoral cushite speaking. Also their haplogroup is majority E-m35 (where cushites all fall into mostly ) even though they have been swept under the bantu migration and even adopted bantu language.

E-M35 amongst them doesn't seem to be a majority, a plurality at most since no study wether public or private put it above the 50% rate. They appear to have inherited a greater share of their cushite dna from their maternal side rather than their paternal

They’re majority E-m35 though even though they have a diverse ydna. They’re live in a very advanced country so dna testing is available and are widely tested. They’re also very much represented in yfull.
