Do you care about what's going on in Hong Kong?

I support Hong Kong and the oppressed groups occupied by China, I don't like the Chinese

Originally the land belonged to the Chinese but they ceded it after they lost the opium war in 1840s.

Don't care about the specifics since the winner is king in the end.

After a century and a half it's a totally different nation with it's own language and identity.

It's like Somalia forcefully taking back Djibouti because the people living there are of the same ethnicity as us.

More importantly I don't think China is a force for good in the world.

The west has its shortcomings but I prefer their faults to the drawbacks of an authoritarian state where freedom is only for the elites.

They are both brutal groups but I feel you.
