Somalia may be an oil producing nation in the near future, so i'm wondering if people think that's a a positive or negative development.

This black gold, it is both a curse and a blessing. For it can turn nations into empires, but men into monsters.

It's a blessing if you can control your resources, a prime examples should be Norway, but for Somalia it would be just another curse.

It will just bring more instability to the region.

2030 is when we'll start to export it if we start working on it by 2020.

Oil will end up distracting our politicians to focus on that instead of building the rest of the economy.

Just look at Venezuela and other African oil producers.

Japan and Korea done quite well for themselves without any oil and we should learn from them.
