I think all Somalis in the West prefer Western style democracy otherwise they would have went to Al Shabab controlled areas or Raqqa years ago. If they vote Al Shabab/IS, they are hypocrites.

It is applicable to all poor countries. You can't have an effective government that can lift the people out of poverty when they are going to vote for far-left socialists/commies or manipulative strongmen.

So far of the regimes in third world countries, I like the Chinese-Singaporean model the most. No democracy, but a lot of progress.

Stupid thread. The west would never allow us to mass migrate to any hypothetical Islamic state so there is no "hypocrisy". Even if Shabab are khariji najdi innovators it is is still a clear choice between Iman and kufr.

Yeah, South Korea used to be a dictatorship during its boom years and after they became wealthy switched over to democracy. That's the better way to do things rather than go directly all in.
