I am also very passionate in being proficient at the highest level in somali. Do you have any resources you use?
Right now the main resource i use is qaamuus.net to check word meaning and conjugation. Obscure words googled in eigher english or somali to get a reddit result or facebook result

I will always recommend starting with hooyo.web to strengthen fundamentals paired with beginners somali grammar when needed

There are textbook courses but someone who grew up hearing somali would not need it rather they should review the alphabet to understand all the sounds (especially difference between d and dh) then just use these resources and read a lot of somali material like news

Parent is the best resource for a topic that you dont know where to start from like greetings for example however they can be a double edged sword as they can have regional inconsistencies and not understand grammar and other language rules. Most somalis learnt the language growing up just by speaking to one another and no schooling system has never changed that
