BE HONEST!!
no it really means nothing to me go ahead and call me an anjabi. i didn't even know what qabil was until i went on this site and i'm being completely honest. i tend to block out my parent's fob ramblings and they don't really care especially my abo. i just don't understand why a bunch of kids who grew up in the west with shitty somali language skills care this much lol tbh

When you have low status and receive immense amount of discrimination you hold on to feeling you have ‘worth’ back home. They believe the only way they find worth is through discriminating others.

I don't negate people from other qabils. I'm also smart enough to not put people of the same qabil on a pedestal and have been fortunate to meet many scholarly people from beesha. I have benefited from qabil in the west and the motherland so I'm not going to pretend like it has no significance or deny perks/privileges' from my associations.

the main problem is the parents

Why wouldnt kinship matter🧐 there is unity and a safe haven with your qabiil. Your clansmen or women feel an obligation to help you with whatever they can.

Somalinimo exists but were we help eachother out, but your clansmen will go to war for your right. Were else can you find that? And discrimination of other clans is wrong and i dont support it. Whats good is good and whats wrong is wrong.

Qabil has done absolutely nothing for me. If I was back home maybe it would mean something to me. One thing I hate about somalis is that they defend bad people like warlords and terrorists just because they share the same clan

Kinship means blood relation and islamically you are supposed to prioritize your kin.

Qabil in and of itself has nothing to do with kinship. Would you say your fourth or fifth cousin is close to you? Biologically that blood relation is very miniscule, less than 0.5%. Now imagine your sub sub sub sub clan, they are for all intents purposes basically a stranger genetically. Forget larger qabil.

The fact that for a large majority of Somalis qabil (strangers) supersedes your blood relatives is abnormal and unislamic to me.

You cannot deny this because the civil war had Abtiskilling nephews and people constantly deny their mothers side.

Somali clans don't fight for haq they will defend you just because you are one of them

This is my feeling.

Personally, I am a qabiil-agnostic. I hope the term catches on.

I swear @qwertyuiop is a paigon.

I was debating making a thread titled "I am coming out of the closet...." in which I bait everyone by saying I was actually qabiil-agnostic but here comes this thread out of nowhere.

:jcoleno:It was a guaranteed platinum man.
