I converted to qabil-agnostic after i found out why Somalia is a shithole country. Unless qabil is used for good reasons, I tend to cringe when people do destructive qabilist behavior.

Here is the definition walaal.

A new term 👏🏼. A breath of fresh air . I have hard time trusting somalis who dont share their qabiil when asked or somalis who invent new terms to sound more wadani . But good for you and the " qabill aganastic " movement , maybe more people will join the movement when the country fixes up more

dont care for it but it is a unique and core aspect of somali culture so i dont think it should be done away with. a damn shame its led to the current situation though

I've always found the way we use qabiil like astrology with determining someone's behaviour and personality based on their clan hilarious. And ngl 9/10 they're always correct. We might all be the same but we have subtle differences.

Qabiil made sense before the current modern era. It was honestly a smart way for a majority pastoral nomadic people like us to organize themselves since you can't exactly base your connections on a particular plot of land or a town or what have you. And it made the dynamics in towns and villages interesting too because most of those people had nomadic ancestors and were carrying on their tribal roots. But it has no real meaning or place in a current day setting but people make too much of it, I think. Just develop the country, reduce gaajonimo, increase education across the board and watch qabiil become relatively irrelevant in a couple of generations.

The doors of the community is always open to any Somali.
