Yep Brilliant Move by SSC, as SL is in bed with weaker Taiwan and an unrecognised state that is apart of mainland China. Yes there is some recognition for them but it's definitely against international rules based order to recognize any secession entity in any country that isn't done thru internal processes. It's a violation of a country sovereignty.
Plus China are the emerging global order some say by 2030 some say by 2050. Chinese are much smarter then westerners when u see how their businesses wipe the floor with western businesses and their politics is in another hemisphere compared to western countries.
I know as we were stationed there in China for Somalia. Chinese only do win win solutions won't entertain win lose or lose lose end games. Plus all their policies are linked to some political equation their pursuing whether short, medium, long term(they don't do mutual interest unless it addresses their national objectives).
China don't have a political alliance of countries tho which some says hurts them. But as for their national objectives(security, economical growth, geopolitical sphere of influence) their not doing bad untill they wipe out or put them under Chinese sphere of influence especially those Japanese, south koreans, and Taiwan from their empire zone.
Their partners(economical or security or knowledge transfers) and even they are rated on the maturity of their partnership and then their is alliances or allies(which the west does well, this means thru good or bad we are one) this doesn't mean interest is involved. Even allies have their various grades

SSC is part of the country, beside that the Somalia-China relations are way better than what it used to be.

Why canβt you build your own hospitals? Where are the SL doctors, nurses, engineers, etc? Even to build the most simple bridge or road you beg a foreign unrecognized nation when you could build it yourself.
