He's winning meaningless states. Hilary learned from her mistakes when she was running against Obama. Hilary received about a million or so more votes than Obama, but he cleverly focused on the big states like Florida, NY and California with huge delegates, he didn't focus on states like Wyoming. By winning the tiny Iowa and losing New Hampshire by a small margin, Obama showed the establishment he could win states with largely conservative whites. She's doing to him what Obama did to her.
