East Burco community accuse minister Zamzam of favouritism after several die of thirst in Sanaag

Zamzam is the finance minister of Sland who is very tribalistic person, she never gets out
of Gabiley even though there is no drought there at the moment.


"Samsamay galbeedka uun ba ka shaqaynaysa" say the locals in Western Sanaag affected by
this tragedy. They have also threatened that they won't vote for Kulmiye in the upcoming
elections as their people are dying like flies with no Gov assistance coming their way.

It is important to understand the topography of the area (terrain) to assess the situation, anything west of Ceel Afweyn and
Garadag is dry hills it never rains there. So of course there won't be sustainable water, it is shitty land to begin with. Best
option for the locals in the long-term could be to move to Berbera area where there atleast has some water springs and oasis.
