You misunderstood my point. I'll try to explain it.

Somalia voted in favour of Egypt and snubbed Ethiopia in the Arab League council session that just passed.

Why? The AL supported Somalia against Kenya and if Farmaajo wants to continue his crusade against Kenya he needs support from the international community - the AL in this case.

How does he win over the AL? By backing Egypt - who've traditionally run the AL - against Ethiopia.

What does that mean for HOA politics? Relations between Somalia and Ethiopia will sour. Abiy knows this; it's why he's adamant on trying to get Somalia and Kenya to work out their problems.
