Thousands of people apply for those jobs and only one guy gets it. NGO jobs in Africa are highly competitive. It's not like they are doling out jobs to anyone who speaks Amharic.

If you watch the video you will know Somalis are not wanted to work from beginning. What is worst that you are not allowed to work from first place. Why the need for Amharic in Somalia?
 
It is relief job just humanitarian agencies. You got to be Christian ecthnic non Somali and speaks Amharic.
 
amharic is needed for translation,somalis burned their house and would rather live as refugee in another country rather than rebuilding/investing in their country,eastlight is perfect example,they need to move to somalia and invest their money there

Translations to Ethiopi? What for? It's unnecessary to say the least.

As for Eastleigh, the suburb was home to Somali businesses long before the war and it hosted the Somali Kenyan business community.
