Ethiopia and Somali land

I've actually changed my stance on the secessionist outlook that the somalilanders endorse. Somaliland is more likely to prosper with full unadulterated autonomy as a free state in East Africa. Greater Somalia is dead. :sass2:

Greater Somalia was a British invention to try and build a unified Somalia. However, as we know, the Brits fucked up by selling the land to Ethiopia.

Nobody sold anything, Harar Emirate went to war to defend the ogaden and lost to Menelik. "Although the Emir was stubbornly independent and disliked all foreigners, he hated the Shewans more than most, and in the long term would likely have done a deal with one or another of the European powers in exchange for autonomy (or a hefty pay-off). The most obvious candidates are Britain and France, although Italy might make another logical choice; any of the three would ensure that in the long term the Ogaden region would end up under European, rather then Ethiopian rule. In the long term, a "Greater Somalia" would be far more likely as a result". http://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/wi-menelik-loses-the-battle-of-chelenqo.129682/

All countries are inventions at some point. That's the point of nationalism. To unify all the people of a nation into one state. Just because all the territories that Somalis live in have never been unified, doesn't mean that they shouldn't be unified.

The Brits didn't sell the Ogaden. They gave the Ogaden to Ethiopia for the help against the Somalis. The NFD was given to Kenya because Kenyans were such great subjects, almost as obedient as the Isaaq. Greater Somalia is not dead, especially not in "Somaliland". Dhulbahantes and Gadabuursi do not want to be a part of Somalia not this failed Ethiopian experiment the SNM call a government. You all now that the SNM was created in the late 80s rather than 91 as "Somaliland" claims. They were allowed to operate as a separate guerrilla to the SSDF because their goal was to destroy Somali Nationalism.

Somali Nationalism is dead...

The British best subjects were darod as darod used to give their women to the British soldiers to use as comfort women (case examples include amina boqor)

The British sold Somali regions to Ethiopia.

Dhulo and gadabursi are full members of somaliland and Ali khalif is in talks with somaliland.

No such thing as Somali nationalism which a code for I am weak and I need you. If there was darod wouldn't be inviting Kenya and Ethiopia to Somalia every few years

Look at this irrelevant trash and his attempts to revise our history. Harar had nothing to do with the Ogaden region during that period. Stop trying to make a name off ours
