Somali politicians would happily pay double the market price for the electricity and thank Addis Ababa for it.
This is wonderful news.
Electricity can be sold to Jubba in the future.
What’s inevitable is increase of upstream farming in Ethiopia will depend heavily on those waters.
Other then that, Somalis will benefit in the future from desalination plants as the price and maintenance comes down. Desalination is being more and more power effiecient and Somalia will always have a way to find water without Ethiopia.
