There was no kingdom in Ethiopia at the time of colonials, their used to be in early period around the 1st century till 7th century before it declined due to the islamic empire controlling the sea route and 'blocking them' out and they started to starve out and regained itself in the 11th century till 16th century(Ahmed Gurey era) who wanted to end that and put them back into starvation mode like the early islamic empire did, after that, there was no kingdom beyond their own territories in particularly the amhara. The facts are facts. There was a majerten sultanate only according to Italy when they came.
