Ethiopia will not take part of AUSSOM if they do not withdraw from MOU - Hamza Abdi Barre.

Absolutely unacceptable,

The government should be calling for their immediate removal out of Somalia, as well as calling for the cancellation of the MOU simultaneously, why is Ethiopia being entertained. The Somali government should be playing hard ball, bloody fuming right know.

Realistically what can Somalia do? Ethiopian troops are an integral pillar of Jubaland & Southwest security. They been on the Somali soil for 25+ years irrespective of FGS consent. I think recognition is around the corner and it's better for Mogadishu to save face and reach an agreement with Somaliland instead of being xooged and embarrassed to accept it.

Somaliland secessionist quest seemed to be very slim judging from the overall global order as well as taking it into account from a perspective unique to Somalia/Ethnic Somalis. But I think now that Harti lands in SL are not in the administrations hands, independence seems impossible in my own opinion. Wasn't the colonial British border the basis of SL claims? Now 40% of former SL territory is out of their hands.

Sool & Sanaag factor so little in our quest for recognition. Many countries have territorial disputes upon independence, the examples are endless.

What a sad state of affairs. Hopefully next admin really focuses on creating a representative SNA so we can get rid of these Ethiopians otherwise they’re here to stay.

Somalia is really gonna try and use it's peace keeping operation (longest running in Africa) to start a proxy war. These are the most f***ery human beings on earth. They will use anything at their disposal to cause chaos. Put these guys under UN adminstration, when is the world going to have seen enough that they can't run themselves.

Not everyone can have a country. UN plebscite, let them join Ethiopia or Kenya but call time on them.

Hate it or love it, Ethiopia's access to sea is our vehicle for recognition. After they recognize us, all other countries will follow.
Image they recongnize you and take land with their army, then couple of months after IC pressure full back, as qaat addict what will you do then?

FGS shouldn't be bargaining anything with Ethiopia. They have no leverage whatsoever.

Ethiopia's access to sea is our vehicle for recognition
They already have access to the sea. They want a military base so they could xoog and annex Somalia in the near future

How did you come to that conclusion exactly ?

what significant political milestone has SL made, that you believe the FGS is been pushed into a corner, that they’ll be “forced” to give SL recognition. Genuinely curious sxb.

Just like how UAE recognised SL after constructing the Berbera corridor? Yeah, everyone going follow the lead of an unstable bankrupt nation experiencing brutal ethnic conflict rn.
