In the Qur'an, Allah reminds us:
"Every soul shall taste death. Then unto Us you shall be returned."
— Surah Al-Ankabut (29:57)
This verse is a statement of fact. No matter how much we achieve or how far we travel, death is the one certainty. It’s a moment every single person will face, and what matters most is how we’ve lived our lives in preparation for that moment.
We only have around 60 good years before age begins to take its toll. Those years are precious, and they shouldn’t be spent worrying about what others think or feel. The opinions of people are fleeting and often insignificant compared to the eternal truth we’ll face when we return to Allah.
What truly matters is our relationship with Allah, how we’ve worshipped him, and how we have treated others according to His guidance. When we turn to Allah, we find a purpose that transcends the opinions and judgments of others. We’re reminded that our ultimate return is to Him, and that realisation should shape how we live every day.
So, instead of being consumed by the thoughts and expectations of the world, turn to Allah. Seek His guidance, strive for his pleasure, and let Allah be the center of your life. This is the path to peace in this life and success in the hereafter.
