@Nilotic Does this individual resemble your folks?

Nope

People don't realise just how complex the Nilo-Saharan phylum is; the Kasu (extinct ethnic group of Kush), Nubians, Nara, Toubou, Zaghawa, Fur and others in Darfur, form their own bloc -- the Saharan branch in Nilo-Saharan

The Dinka-Nuer, Shilluk and Maasai-Samburu form their own bloc -- the Nilo branch; the Saharan, Nilo and Surmic branches have their origins in Wadi Howar -- in Darfur-Chad.

I think Nilotes may have been soldiers during ancient Kush but that's the extent of our potential involvement

@Nilotic Do you remember, when your people used to be kings and queens in egypt?

My people really never had a history of forming kingdoms or adopting centralised rule; we've always been nomadic pastoralists. The Shilluk only started forming centralised rule in around the 15th Century -- more than a full millenia after the previously nomadic Nubians had coalesced into Christian era kingdoms.

A tough days are ahead of arabs in egypt as n1grocentrist gonna use this news to prove that ancient egyptians were black, may be they disown that mummy to sudan and send another one

:gaasdrink:

The Kushites were their own ethnicity, however, they very likely had the same sort of connection to the Nubians that Rome had to other Italic groups.
Which cushite had its own ethnicity? Kush was a derogatory name similar to the N word used by jews to refer people in southern egypt and north sudan, anyone can claim cush but somalis doesn't have anything to do with this mythical ethnicity called cush

Kush was very much mixed and diverse place at that time. Her looking like any ethnicity in todays sudan is not surprising, she or one of her ancestors could be from Nuba

I’m in the opinion that Cushitic and Nubians were part of ancient Egypt before they migrated downward and splitted into different ethnic groups for unknown reasons.

The pyramids and artifacts in Sudan not shown in mainstream history for obvious reasons and the drawing resemblence says otherwise. Also, Egypt and Sudan were basically one until the Europeans came and created the borders to divide them.

Problem is no one cares today because they’re Muslims and that history is seen as shirk/taboo. So, African Americans took this advantage knowing no one will talk. It’s too late to fix that now that white people made a mockery of us.

Cushites lived in the Eastern Deserts & Lower Nubia. Cushites have nothing to do with historical Egypt.
