There is very little info in English about this. I found Somali article which said Somalis of old use to slaughter an animal when they cited a certain colour of falcon:

Jokes aside this is really cool. Tonnes of Blemmyae-related excavations ongoing, with even a Roman-era site only just discovered near Berenice. Lots of burials but unfortunately I contacted the authors and yeah, no aDNA is gonna be coming from there any time soon - thermal degradation being the reason ofc. Rah's neck at fault, it seems.
