The problem is Somalia is too politically weao and disorganized, and UAE is also after Soqotra now. I commend this effort but our chances don't look good at the moment. Perhaps in 10 years when UAE ceases to exist we can try.

Why would an island that doesn't speak Somali, be part of a region that is part of the Somali mainland? Let them be there only special provinces like Hawaii.
And even if Puntland wanted the island its couldn't do it without a strong central government that can back Puntland against regional and international condemnation.
