Finland will pay every citizen $860 a month

$860 doesn't even cover rent in Finnish and other northern European cities.

Guaranteed income is a bad idea. This encourages laziness. And middle and upper class people don't need it

The government should only cover groceries and utilities for poor working people. And don't give it to them in cash. The government should pay the heat and electric and water company directly and give a $300 US grocery card that's automatically refilled every 1st of the month. And you aren't allowed to bank any money. Whatever money the month prior you didn't use should disappears. And no alcohol or cigarette purchases allowed. Only food.

We should help poor people, not have them abuse the system

$860 to everyone is a stupid idea. Why should millionaires and billionaires get it as well? Or some punk 18 year old who will spend the money showing off his beamer to get girls?

Nordic countries already have big housing subsidies for poor people. Not much of that will go to rent.

Overall it is not a bad idea, at least it is better than the quadrillion dollar corporate welfare schemes the government has been giving to the big banks since 2009. This is a better way to stimulate the economy than to just hand it over to failing banks all the time.
