That doesn't really matter when you've got some members of said demographic that can completely blend in phenotype wise.

The whiteness of Syrians is seriously overblown. To me they look like Arabs, just less black-ish influenced than Saudis & North Africans, but still very Middle Eastern in phenotype.

This woman is of clear Caucasian/Anatolian ancestry. Quite a few Syrians are in fact of Greek/Circassian/Turkish/Armenian/Georgian ancestry due to the Byzantine and Ottoman empire controlling the territories.

Genetic studies on Syrians show little to no crusader influence.

Probably Nilotic slaves from South Sudan had a bigger ancestral contribution to modern Syrians than the crusaders did. I'm not even kidding..
