Nobody could travel through Al-shabab controlled places except for Langaab Daroods, Somali bantus and others. I could never travel so had to use a plane. Now we can use the roads and save money of plane ticket.

How? Al shabaab was the only obstacle everything besides that is just farms and praries

Goods arrive from Bosaso into GM on a daily basis. Other than a tax at the border you can travel freely.

Im suprised that theres not much footage, im guessing AS are retreating as soon as SNA/locals
get close and regrouping elsewhere, Which makes me think they did not expect this weerar , since they were in the newly liberated lands for so long they were unprepared for an offensive like this.

Other posters stated the real battle will be in JL, SH. Interesting times. Hopefully those areas can be secured by sna and held on to. Push all of AS towards one area and it will be easier to plan a major final offensive.

That’s true but at the same time people prefer shabaab road taxes and checkpoints compared to the goverment checkpoints. AS tax you once and give you a signed paper so you can show another AS checkpoint that you already payed. You just have to pay them once during your whole journey. But with government isbaaro they stop and take money from you every checkpoint. Same type of corruption when it comes to goverment courts compared to AS courts

if the government really want to gain the citizens trust fully, they have to stamp down on these type of corruptions so the people don’t go to AS instead as people will just choose the option that saves them money

Yh for sure. The government should clean up the roads from their own isbaaro.
