"A new report this week by the U.N. Sanctions Monitoring Team for Somalia warns that fighters, including some from countries in the Middle East, have helped the Islamic State's Somali affiliate, also known as IS-Somalia, to more than double in size to between 600 and 700 fighters."

Exactly this. IS is maintained by foreign intelligence agencies and then they are used as a pretext excuse for direct intervention. IS filled with Ethiopians? It needs to be dealt with before it gets worse.

Even now, the IS branch in Sinai/Gaza is working with Israelis to loot the aid that enters Gaza.

China still has to pass through the Indian Ocean to reach is base in Djibouti. The US currently has a base in Diego Garcia and just recently overthrew the Bangladesh government to esablish an airbase base on Saint Martin island, They have a base in Oman, can’t establish a base in Yemen so their only options for blocking China from Djibouti is through Puntland and Somaliland. There’s Socorta but they left that to Israel and UAE which could also explain why “ISIS” is there.

You guys made a good point with AS, if FGS wants to be taken serious they have to do that first. Then maybe PL folk be willing to discuss.

SL is just as bad, what both FMS have in common is they sell minerals without knowledge of the FGS. PL sells gold to emirates, those damn arabs take advantage of PL’s lack of international trade since they are only an FMS to get cheaper rates on gold, giving 3-4$ a gram even though each gram is 100$ USD. They also do the same in JL harvesting trees turning it into a desert. PL and its folks don’t offer any solutions, just “stay out of our business”. The MOU issue with SL has been resolved which is why you don’t hear about them. Ethiopians will be getting access to hobyo.
