The Palestinians were offered a deal to have their own state during the 1948 partition plan presented by the UN. They refused and the Arab states attacked (I should say Muslims because Pakistan got involved). They lost...horribly!

Israel is now the only functional developed, liberal, democratic, secular state in the Middle East and nobody is going to dismantle that to give land to people who have always lived their lives being ruled. Plus, there is no guarantee that the Palestinians will function properly as a state.

Israel airlifted Ethiopian Jews out of Ethiopia on a plane simply because they were Jews and deserve to live free as Jews.
