I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

So now Abiy has the blessing of a veto wielding nuclear power and he can rely on them for financial and military assistance in case they go ahead with their full-fledged invasion of Somalia's waters. Meanwhile Somalia's only "friend" Turkey prefers Ethiopia to get the sea access as well. HSM is doing everything possible to fulfill Habesha's dreams wlhi. What a fuckup.

They've always wanted Zaylac but it'd be a win for hsm if he gets them to set up shop in Hobyo or even Garacad.
Garacad already has the road being planned/built to the Ethiopian border. Why not go ahead with that?

Everything needs approval by Uncle Sam (the real leader of the UN)

On the bright side Abiy term ends June 2026. if he looses election very possible this whole debacle goes away.

HSM biggest fault is he promised to not renew ATMIS, defeat al shabab, and kick out foreigners. He didn't do it and now Ethiopia showing him who runs show and pushing him around. Long as they have 10k troops inside country FGS can't talk about sovereignty and somaliland. FGS act like its better alternate to somaliland govt when its not and its obvious to everyone.

If Abiy comes back it will take long time to get funds and even longer to build port and navy. Plenty of time for FGS to get act together but knowing our govt nothing will change and no lessons learned from having foreigners inside country

Why would HSM do that he wants to economically make PL irrelevant. PL been a thorn on his ass since his first term.

In a normal nation garacad would be an ideal choice but somalia isn’t a normal nation. Xassidnimo and competition go first and efficiency is out the window

Red sea is off eritrea's coast so i dont really see this as a move against somalia. I dont really care if they get a naval base as long as it's not on somali territory.
