I had no idea afars hated Somalis so much until twitter and this sitti conflict

It's not only happening in the horn but also in the west. I was once told to not go to places where afar gather if i'm somali and i didn't understand what it meant back then.
Both views cannot be true. the afar say the issa clan is expanding into their land, and the issa clan say the afar are expanding into their lands. combine this with the fact that somalis outnumber afar by what, 10 to 1; and it's hard to believe afar would purposely provoke somalis. they need to just share the land, make an old school adal region, since we're all Muslims, that should be first.

They mostly hate Cisses in reality, from what I know. They're weirdly chill toward many other qabiils, even sometimes oddly affectionate like toward Daroods. They have some belief that we link-up genealogy wise but the Cisse are like their primordial foes.

Canfars should chillax. They'll be Somalized and fully accepted within Somaliweyn. A few generations of good nutrition should make the short stature dissipate and then there'll be no picking them out anyway.

All I know is that many of them supposedly know Somali (often fluent) in Jabuuti whereas the reverse is not true. You'd be quite lucky to run into a Somali who knows their Af.

Honestly, jokes aside, I feel for Canfars. They seem like a very impoverished and underdeveloped people. Things seem to be getting better lately but I still remember seeing docus like this and seeing their state in Djibouti as a kid:
Somalis are far better off. We have two of our own UN recognized countries (Djibouti is ours, lets be real) and much more land and better quality land than them. Other than some of the Awash valley what do they have? We have the riverine south, the more fertile inland areas in the northwest and northwestern galbeed and various pockets like Cal Madow and the Nugaal valley. You barely ever hear from these guys on a global scale. Their diaspora and the number of achievers is paltry.
I'm not knocking them for all that, though. They live in the most arid and unforgiving part of the Horn so it's to be expected. They are a hardy and strong folk so no disrespect at all but quite on the contrary. What I'm trying to say is that Somalis would benefit from doing something for these guys. Going into their communities and investing in them. Schools, orphanages where needed, taking Canfar kids to Somalia to be better educated and raised there, keeping them in on any developments we get. They would be a useful ally and grateful. Or perhaps I'm just being naive.
