Why?Speaking of diracs I’m going to a wedding next year and I want to wear a specific style but my mum isn’t letting me
She’s not Djiboutian. Someone asked her what culture wears these clothes and she said “Somali I think”.First girl is probably Djiboutian
I want to start gatekeeping. The same french Africans wanting to wear our cultural clothes hate on us so much
They’ll start claiming our clothes as theirs next. What is this?

I thought that at first and I made a similar comment saying if they’re going to wear our clothes, we should be the one selling it to them but we have been for years. Baatis are worn all over east Africa because of us. And do they credit our culture today or do they wear our clothes and pretend that it’s apart of their culture? Kenyans were wearing Diracs and claiming it as “East African culture” recently. We need to stop allowing these people into our spaces. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content.
