AUN. One of the Greatest. Could've achieved soo much for Somalis and Somalia as a whole but it was his time. He's done Ali Saleeban proud, In Sha Allah another like him well come from us.

AUN. If he wasn't assassinated by the Kacaan regime I believe we would be in a better position overall as a people.

He was Osman Mohamud not Ali Saleeban.

There was a rumour that he was killed by the orders of Siad Barre because he wanted himself in power. On the day he died, some people said there was rain that day but it wasn't an ordinary rain. People said the rain resembled teardrops. That's what my grandmother said as well. Anyways AUN

Here he is during a trip to the US back when he was PM in 1962.

US-Somali relations seemed to be very good pre-1969. Imagine what could have been if the country didn't switch alliances to the qashin Soviets and eventually developed a viable democracy.

The last legitimate president the Somali Republic had AUN. As inefficient the civilian government might've been, there wasn't any strong resentment against the government or clans that dominated the government like under the kacaan, people's rights were relatively not violated and it gave Somalis an opportunity to have some voice in their government and reforms could have taken place peacefully leaving people no reason to rebel. Stronger governmental institutions could have taken root and we could have well been on our way to upper middle maybe even higher income status do to our vast amount of natural resources and low population.

That was the reason for his assassination, the orders were given by guy who was agent to Former Soviet Union. part of Cold War, he was pro America. AUN

His death signaled the end of the Somali state. After said barre took power, he abolished all the key institutions, and since, Somalia has never recovered.

Are you referring to the man who killed him? Cause the man who killed him was Cali saleeban? Miise you're mocking?

Either way ina lillah waa ina illahay rajicuun.
