Future of the Somali region

As Somalia slowly but steadily develops and stabilizes itself, the government will inevitably have to deal with Galbeed question. Despite the current stability of DDS, we all know that can very much change anytime due to how volatile Ethiopian politics can be. Even practically speaking, the Somali-Ethiopia border isn't even properly demarcated so FGS will eventually have to talk with Ethiopia over how to manage that. Now I know some of you will like to pretend not care or act nonchalant about galbeed but lets be honest, nearly every region and qabil have a stake in galbeed. We are talking about a Germany sized region that is home to 30% of the total Somali population so we should naturally care as should FGS/Puntland/Somaliland.

So short of an outright invasion, how do you think Somalia should approach galbeed in the future? A northern Ireland style agreement where reer galbeed retains full semi-autonomy and can freely travel to Somalia and vice versa? Purchase galbeed?

Ukraine that shit

Make the move during a civil war, we know we’re not going to have to wait long, and look to hold position.

Will Somalia stabilise before the next one? Probably not. Most likely not even the one after

We just have to wait until the west pulls the plug on Ethiopia. Ethiopia on its own was never the problem. They get aid money, political backing in the IC and military support from the west. As long as that continues , there is not much we can do. However, Somalia can start by sorting itself out first so we are ready to swoop in and take advantage if the west does pull the plug. It’s rather silly discussing this now because Ethiopia currently colonizes half of Somalia and they just forced our clueless president into taking our seas to them.
