Garowe municipality giving animals owner 10 days to indoor them.

Can you give us link :farole: .
Abdishakur Ciddin, the Berbera mayor, famously banned them as part of his successful redevelopment of the city. It was particularly hard to do in Berbera as you had people bringing their livestock there to be shipped overseas. He built pens and other holding facilities for the livestock awaiting shipment. Have a look at any of the videos online travelling through Berbera - they show clean, animal free streets.

It doesn't take away from the the fact that Garowe is doing a great job banning it also. The roaming of livestock continues to be a problem in Hargeisa, for example.

Mogadishu needs to do the same. Goats, sheep, camels, cows and chickens roaming around in what's supposed to be a capital city. Our countryside is vast they should take their livestock somewhere else instead of bringing your lugooyo to our cities

Garowe is probably the most organised, cleanest and put together in the country.

It does not have the buildings, hotels or facilities of Mogadishu but when you drive in the city, there are paved roads almost everywhere, sidewalks, roundabouts and traffic lights. It was also the first city in Somalia that I've seen use street name signs. Further, I remember that there were public libraries there.

The UN and NGO's have their offices in the middle of the city, which is not the case in nearly every other Somali city. The PL government have their offices in two zones of the city, highlighting the urban planning that is taken seriously in Garowe.

Man, I know about the statues. I was at JKIA at 4am once and I legit saw real zebras strolling around the entrance gate.

Mombasa road is the main road that goes from Machakos to Nairobi CBD. From JKIA to the flyover, there are heaps of cows being grazed on the median. I was shocked.
