The great Somali migration already happened. Its just that most Somalis don't know anything outside of their own region. The expansion took place in the 19th and early 20th century. Everything west of the Genale and Juba was Oromo as recently as 1850.

There won't be any similar large scale expansions in the future because population density has gone up 10x since then, and because people have established cities and towns which greatly limit their ability to withdraw due to sunk costs. People will fight to the death to keep their city, but they may withdraw from grazing land.

apparently the oromos in kenya got sick from smallpox and if the british didnt arrive, somalis wouldve continued expanding. this century i predict somalis will conquer so much territory from everyone else. this is what somalia will look like inshallah
