Growing my hair out for the first time in 20 years and my front and side grows slower than the back and top, anyone else have this problem ?

I use shampoo 1x a week, conditioner 2x a week, moisturiser and small bit of oil on the wash days. And daily top up of water with spritz spray. Hair is 4c and thick. I have to constantly trim the back and top to match the pace of sides and front as these two areas grow a lot slower than back and top. Any recommendations or is this uneven hair growth fairly normal ?

When I was growing out my hair I also had this problem.
Luckily for me it was during covid, but it just takes time for the hair to all grow out and eventually it will look even.
I hear lots of people call it the "Awkward phase"

The back of your head snd hair is where the most hair follicles are and will see the most growth. Its very common.
