I swear my local Somali Imam is more knowledgeable than him. I have nothing against Shaykh Hamza Yusuf but I wouldn't sit under him.Probably the best Western Shaykh around and the most realistic in his approach. He is far above anyone else.

Ok, does he actually teach students fiqh and aqeedah. All i see him talk about tassawuf and heart softening themes. He studied the Islamic sciences in Mauritania for over 10 years. He had a traditional scholarly education.
But to each their own.

Somali sheikhs are the bestStop spreading lies. His an amazing sheikh unlike most so called somali shiekhs.
Absolutely, or go to your native lands if you disagree with their laws. waa edeb daroI don’t watch Hamza Yusuf but I’m sure he said we need to obey the law’s of the United states as long as we’re not forced to sin which is true. I don’t see the issue here? Your scholar Ibn Uthaymeen said the same thing, when you’re living in the West, you need to obey their laws.
he’s right tho
same guy who wanted palestinians to roll over and accept oppression from the yahud instead of fighting back

You’re free to disagree with his take but to take his words out of context to insinuate that he doesn’t have Palestinian’s best interests at heart and he’s a “sell-out” is simply disingenuous and dishonest. Hamza Yusuf has spoken up for Palestinians many times, he just has a different strategy to the Palestinian issue. He believes that if the Palestinians strategically agreed to not retaliate they could gain sympathy and more advantage, an Ghandi or MLK strategy. You’re free to disagree with him and his strategy but you’re not free to say he supports oppression of Palestinians.

When did I take his words out of context? He says it right there, he thinks the palestinians should give up while yahud have stolen their land and desecrated our masajid. Interestingly he also had the same position on the syrian revolution and even mocked the Syrian people for trying to remove an oppressive kafir ruler. See it for yourself, these are his words not mineYou’re free to disagree with his take but to take his words out of context to insinuate that he doesn’t have Palestinian’s best interests at heart and he’s a “sell-out” is simply disingenuous and dishonest. “In the end of time there will be men who will deceive through religion [They will be seeking the dunya through Din], deceiving the people by wearing wool, their tongues will be sweeter than sugar, but their hearts are the hearts of wolves" (Tirmidhi)"In September 2001, shortly after the terror attacks on the US, he was the sole Muslim representative in a delegation of religious leaders who met President George W Bush and endorsed his decision to launch a military campaign against terrorism – ie, his “war on terror“."
This guy doesn't care about Palestine otherwise he wouldn't work for Trump. How can you support the government of USA and at the same time say I care about Palestinians when Israel's biggest ally is USA? It doesn't make sense don't fall for this disgusting so called "scholar"
