aren’t they a minority clan there? I distinctly remember watching a docu that said Harari are named after the city but interestingly their population is very small compared to the Oromo and Somali there.

Most live in Addis, dir dhabe and some in somaliland.

I am starting to think the Oromo and Amhara purposely move to areas and reproduce at an insane rate just to take over. Like it’s an actual policy of theirs.

I was just arguing today with an oromo who claimed to be natives of harar before hararis.

The Harari identity existed before he came into contact with them. He is considered a saint amongst Hararis because the Walls around the city he built saved them from extinction.

Never Fr tho we have a chance for our lands back. There will be some conflict in Ethiopia in the near future. We should prepare to exploit it to the fullest and reclaim everything. Sooner or later Ethiopia will transition into centralism or fade away and balkanise with ethnic federalism this will inevitably cause conflict which gives Somalis an opportunity to take advantage of the situation. Once this window closes galbeed in its entirety is lost. Until then there is everything to gain and everything to lose

The founder of their town, Nur Ibn Mujahid, was apparently a Somali and even long after this we have accounts of how deeply involved Somalis were with the town by the 1800s:

In those quotes you can see that their Amir's first wife was a Somali woman and the daughter of a local Bartire chieftain whose family apparently maintained this connection with the Amirs of Harar for generations and one of the Amirs top Sheikhs who handled many political matters, Sheikh Jami, as mentioned above was also a Somali of the very same tribe. The town also had a significant Somali population even though the Hararis apparently had a hilariously racist attitude toward them and the town pretty much ran on trade coming from Somali ports like Saylac iyo Berbera:

Some might not know this but there were even Hararis in the Somali Youth League, the founding party of Somalia. Harar was also once being considered for a Somaliweyn capital by this same party. Nowadays I also hear of quite a few Hararis getting DNA tests. Some just look Habesha but a fair number I've heard of seem to have significant Somali admixture and even I myself despite being mostly from the northeast and partly from Koonfur turned up with a Harari relative on 23andme.

We have deep ties with these niggas.

It's been hundreds of years, we are not interested sxb. Somalis are barely holding to what they have in ethiopia. If we get dire dawa back we are lucky.
