Hargeisa administration makes it harder to obtain Somali passports for Sland residents

It is a waste of money going all the way to Garowe to obtain a passport. In my opinion
it would be smarter to have it in Hargeisa, so all Sland residents have access to the passport
for travel purpose.

This whole thing is nothing more then a dog and pony show to keep the aid rolling in and this fake relevance facade up, there is big money at stake, so even tough they could make a lot of money from this, they choose not to, because the facade is more crucial.

There is a famous story sxb that was told to me by Sheikh Shariif right hand man and best friend Fiqhe, they all met in Djibouti while the Shariif was president, to keep it short, he asked the old man siilaanyo directly, whether he preferred the Somalia before in which he served were there was unity and love, or whether he preferred the way things are right now.

Siilaanyo responded with the Somalia before, after discussing ways to cooperate to bring it back, he started to get agitated, insisting on it being kept private, because as he put it, "the glance he would get from the lady selling Khaat outside the airport alone would kill him" before the rebellion even begins, to which everyone laughed including Shariif.

This is the reality of the relationship that until this day is still maintained, it's more profitable this way, money talks, but most are just ignorant dupes that believe in this illusion of separation.

just like the Sland currency, hence why many Somaliland youth do tahriib without
documentation since they don't have recognized Somali passport. Reality is Somaliland
is still part of Somalia legally, the Somali passport does not only belong to south Somalia.
The day Somaliland gets recognized then it would make sense for some minister to say go
to Garowe when we know all those politicians all have western passports and never travel
using a "Somaliland passport".

Recognising is different to accepting. These countries recognise that there's a passport from a place called Somaliland but they wont necessarily accept it.

Somalilanders should have the right to get whatever passport they choose. So much the Horn's only democracy.

I would believe that. Siilanyo also got rich of Somalia before the war and who wouldn't want peace and love over division.

The Somaliland passport is used to go to these countries. People travel with them all the time, especially when traveling to Ethiopia and Djibouti. My cousin is studying in Malaysia and traveled with a Somaliland passport.

The tahriibi youth will obviously claim to be from Somalia since it is currently in conflict. If they said they were from Somaliland they would not be accepted as refugees.
