He did. Egal died in 2002 then Riyaale took over, in 2003 there was new elections after that Riyaale won.

I am not sure about the location but indeed everyone is reporting he had stroke last night. In 7am a emergency plane arrived at Hargeisa airport to take him to abroad hospital.
