Hey guys so harmony day is coming up in a month it is a multicultural celebration held in all of Australia and I schools and we come with out cultural and i intend to come in some somali male cultural clothing but there's so many and I don't know what to choose so I wanted your recommendations also can you recommend me what somali dish I should bring with me to school? Something sweet or something savoury but small and easy to carry, I was thinking of bringing rooti shinidaab since it is one of my favourite somali desserts but I am happy and open for other suggestions.

Malawax is easy and when he had culture day in secondary we wore macawees (with a belt if you're worried it'll slip)

I was thinking wearing the somali koofiyad with a khamis and macawis under it and thena imaamad around my shoulders but I am puzzled of whether I wear the macaawiis onto or wear it under the khamis also to better intensify it should I get a cane and have miswak.

Koofiyad is a good idea just wear three quarters under the macawiis then no point using cimaamad as it isn't our culture (the red ones that is) khamiis as well isn't something I'd wear but it's up to you and if you do just wear it over the macawees

No I mean the white imaamad. And thanks for the info.

LOOOOL Back in my high school days, everybody took Harmony Day as an excuse to just wear casual clothes instead of uniform.

I dropped from ATAR, I didn't like it and it was not worth it since I could still get into the uni degree I want to get into by doing Uni Ready (R.I.P all the bozos that never got the chance to do uni ready) and tbh you should only do ATAR if you doing some hard degree and if you doing some normal degree it's better to drop to general and do uni ready, I recently dropped from atar I mean don't get me wrong the stuff was easy but after I realised its all in vain when you can do general and relax and do uni ready inside school which my one offers you can get into the uni degree you want. I am also considering TAFE but I probably be looked down upon by my family and community since almost every 3rd world country ethnics want their kids to go university for that flexing privileges and not have to say "oh my son is a plumber and he cleans shit for a living but he earns crazy cash but that still doesn't stop him from being a bum degree less loser, he should have gotten a degree blah blah blah blah"
