Didn't even know what a relaxer was until I came across gangster wannabe FOBs in Norway relaxing their hair :pachah1:

The first time I got my hair relaxed was when I was around kindergarten.:geek: My Aunt convinced my mum to do it, it was either that or go bald, since I was giving my mum hard time with doing my hair. I don't blame myself she would literally rake through my hair with no mercy or forcefully put my face between her legs so I wouldn't budge . It was always a fight. I remember running away and locking my room, and telling her I would proceed to let her do my hair if she promised to not hurt me, but that promised was never fulfilled. My mum and Aunt got a little kiddie relaxer set, and let the chemical sit on my head for awhile before washing it out. I started screaming when I felt the warm later turning into a burning sensation on my scalp. My mom didn't even relax my hair again until I was around the ages of 10-12. I discontinued because I hated the fact of getting my hair ironed everyday and that fucking smell of burnt iron. When I discontinued with the relaxer treatments, my hair started looking a tad bit funky. I just wore it buns, but I was wearing hijab by then. So all was good.:lolbron: My hair reverted back to it natural state, and currently my hair hasn't been straightened in three years. I just started watching YT tutorials on how to care for my hair. I don't even use a comb for my hair, I just detangle with my finger it take me like 10 minutes. I also invest in Shea Moisture Products,

do you use the Jamaican black castor oil deep conditioner? I've been using it and so far so good

@sadsomali My routine goes a bit like this, so I shampoo my scalp with shea moisture 10 in 1 renewal shampoo the night before. Then I partition my hair into 4 sections and apply my deep condition treatment with coconut oil ( helps loosen my hair to detangle), put a plastic cap on along with cap on top of it and head to sleep. I wake up and detangle while showering and use whatever conditioner I have with me to further aid with detangling my hair. Leave a bit of conditioner on my hair, then use castor oil and cream (currenly using Shea Moisture Cocounut Hibiscus Curl and Style Milk) to keep my hair moisturized. I just do two strand twists on my hair. My braiding skills apparently sucks. I do this routine every week and half, so I don't find it tedious or myself to be wasting products. My products last me one to two months.

Loooooooooool
