Adan Adde should have his own statue in Xamar. That mans legacy still lives on
This is a touchy subject to be honest. I'm not even sure if it's halal. Some scholars say the ones for worship are forbidden and anything historic is fine. Better to be on the safe side and make some sort of memorial for this legend.

What would a uniquely designed Somali architecture look like anyway :cosbyhmm:

Probably like the stone parts of all the coastal towns. I've noticed there are general similarities all around, even from north to south. Not an architect so I lack the vocabulary for what I've noticed but, for instance, the raised edges on the corners of the buildings seem ubiquitous:

They seemed to have a thing for "crowning" the buildings like that for some reason. White-washing seemed popular too. It's interesting. Even though we know there were strong architectural influences from the Peninsula, India and Iran the coastal architecture of Somalia looks somewhat unique and similar all around. Seems like some sort of local style did develop.
