How big is Laascanood?

Being born in laascanood and living there for a bit of my childhood, I always thought laascanood was a small irrelevant tuulo. This started changing when I was 11 and was in hargeisa some adeer asked me where I was from, I didn't say canada of course and told him laascanoo. I was surprised to see that he was familiar with it and some other odeys heard it and they talked about how they knew some people there or had relatives there. I thought it was just because it's in somalia everyone knows cities and towns.

Then I found out Hodan Naleeye (AUN) was from there as well. I assumed it was a coincidence. And then now I'm seeing on twitter and even on Sspot so many people repping Laascanood, only now did I realize laascanood isn't some random tuulo in Sool.

So I'm asking you guys (the ones who are familiar with somali geography) how big of a town is Laascanood?

Its literally the capital of the Dhulbuhante tribe
A well known respected tribe with members all over the world

Before I was 15 I knew little to nothing about dhulbahante. All I knew was my qabil as my dad made sure for me to know that. BUt besides that my parents didn't care much about me learning about qabiils and stuff, if I wanted to it's fine but they didn't go out of their way.

But yeah now that I think about it, it would make sense that laascanood is well known. As a huge number of dhulbahante come from there.

according to wikipedia it's the 10th most populated city. According to wikipedia the population is only 75K which I call BS on.

If you look at the sources, the data was last collected in 2005, and that was only an estimate. So the wikipedia pages are incredibly outdated.

True population of las anod in 2005 was probably 100K, not 75K. The true population now should be way past 200K. Las Anod is top 5 largest cities rn easily. We grew incredibly from starting from 2010, and are still growing.
