All I know now is that their music is copyrighted. As for money, prob not alot. Artists make the bulk of their money thru touring.

Not much. It also depend on your sub clans population in the West. In Toronto artists like Boqol and Iskalaji do well because of the majority Hawiye and Darood in Toronto. They basically get hired at every Darood or Hawiye wedding. It’s a bit more difficult for those getting in the game now since they are not well known.

Many of them do other jobs on the side to keep afloat.
